How much do you charge?
If you hire our office for a personal injury case, we will handle it on a "contingency" basis. If we settle the case prior to filing a lawsuit, our office generally receives 33.33% of the gross settlement proceeds. If a lawsuit is filed, our office generally receives 40% of the gross settlement/judgment proceeds. If we are unable to obtain a recovery, then you will owe us nothing. This will all be contained in the contingency fee agreement that all clients must sign at the commencement of representation.
How long does a personal injury case take?
Each case is different. Sometimes an attorney can obtain a settlement in a manner of weeks without even filing a lawsuit. Other times, it is necessary to file a lawsuit. It is not uncommon for a lawsuit to drag on for years.
Do you offer free consultations?
For personal injury cases, we offer free initial consultations so that we may review your case.
How much is my case worth?
Every case is different and there are a multitude of factors to consider when valuing a case. Factors include whether liability is disputed, the extent of injuries, the extent of the property damage, the severity of the injuries, the amount of medical expenses, whether injuries will be permanent, whether there will be future medical expenses, whether the tortfeasor (defendant) acted with malice or gross negligence, the amount of lost wages, etc.
